I am Bex Manners, the founder of Bex Rox. I was born and raised on Spain’s Balearic Islands, which has been a huge influence in my designs. After leaving home I spent three years gaining inspiration whilst exploring the rich cultures of South East Asia, Australia and South America. After this, I ventured to New York, where I worked as a fashion stylist and often made my own jewellery to tweak the final look in a shoot.
It was after the attention my pieces gained that the realisation to form Bex Rox came into being.Since the launch in 2006, Bex Rox quickly gained popularity and in 2009 I was awarded the Coutts New Jewellers award. Subsequently we have gone from strength to strength, now selling in 19 countries worldwide, regularly appearing in top fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harpers and Queen to name but a few and having the support of numerous high profile celebrities from Cheryl Cole to Drew Barrymore and many more.In terms of inspiration, the Balearic islands definitely play a part in my designs. My collections are about a feeling, being a free spirit, youthfulness and vibrant colours with a sexy undertone which for me sums up the Balearics…Also, the rich tapestry of cultures I was immersed in while travelling definitely made an impression on me…along the way I picked up an array of techniques from various cultures and tribes such as Chinese knotting and macrame wood fire soldering. I would say all these elements and more come together to form Bex Rox.
