Lyon, France
We are Amelie Charroin and Marie Colin-Madan, textile designer born in 1984.
The desire to create images together has led to Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre.
Since January 2010 we offer collections of printed silk square scarves French manufactured.
We work printed in two, mixing different manual techniques, drawing, painting, photomontage. We build complex images fed surrealism that combines narrative and geometric bases.
The introduction of elements into account mainly of the four corners, and not just the center.
Each square scarf is picture to wear. Our images are of course steeped in history of painting, architecture, traditional world of flat square to the framework, but our first influences are more contemporary, our own lives, our daily lives. Nature that we fantasize, blogs we follow, movies, music, videos, videos ... We work in Lyon, historic birthplace of silk. We are privileged to work closely with the best houses of French silk. We really want to develop these local networks and enhance the local know-how environmentally friendly. Each piece is woven, printed and shaped in the Rhône-Alpes. Our boxes and labels are printed by hand by us in our workshops.
