I love the studs, they are beautiful! Thank you Nicola.

After deciding I wanted a complete career change, I undertook a Foundation Degree in design and it was whilst I was there that I first became interested in making jewellery, I then went on to complete a degree in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery, achieving a first class BA (hons).I have a love of vintage things and whilst looking around the antique shops in historic Rochester near where I live, I discovered a letter that had been written during the Second World War.
The letter had obviously been treasured for many years, possibly read and re read many times. This made me think about the way we communicate with friends and loved ones today. Text messages and emails can never convey the same feelings as a handwritten letter.
So I decided to create a collection of jewellery based on the lost art of letter writing. My first collection ‘Lost Words’ has a tactile feel to it, and I hope will convey the permanence of a handwritten letter, something that could be held in the hand and treasured.
Very nice piece. Love the design. It does look more shiny than in the picture... I would have preferred the more matte finish, as shown. Otherwise, it's lovely. I was glad to buy it, to contribute to the fund-raiser for Internat'l Women's Day.
