The Story

Torula is a label I set up in 2008 after completing a course in handbag design at the London College of Fashion. Upon graduating, I started selling my bags on Portobello market as a way of testing my designs and what started on a small scale weekend venture has now grown into a full-time business distributing my collection all over the world. Like me the label is Anglo-French. I was born to an English mother and French father, I launched the business in London and I am now living in Paris.

This cultural mix is what inspires me when I am designing, my aim always wanting to create luxurious handbags that fuse understated Parisian chic with London cutting-edge style. Moreover, every season I create capsule collections made of a few simple and elegant models, choosing classic colors and designing bags that span generational boundaries. The quality is also high on my list of priorities: I work with an experienced team of craftsmen based in Istanbul. The leathers are individually hand-picked and every detail is carefully monitored throughout the process. The team has been producing bags for high-profile designers for the past 50 years but besides the fact that they are talented I chose to work with them as they showed the most love and pride in working with leather.I hope you will appreciate my work and please feel free to get in contact with me if you have any further questions.
